The Week That Flew By, plus the Museum of Sex..say whaat?

Attempting to recall the week of March 19th...luckily i have facebook to semi remind me of what occurred. Let's get through this quickly, shall we? Since i know the next two weeks were not that interesting, at all. Stupid midterms -__-

That Monday was absolutely beautiful out. Much like the previous week. However, i was stuck inside the whole time. Either going to three different classes, studying, or taking a midterm. All of which i did. So that was a sucky Monday. Tuesday was productive though. I got up at a reasonable house and finished up a group presentation. Then i did some laundry followed by eating some food. Then i went to the gym with Corey and decided to climb the rock wall for the first time in probably over a year. It felt great. I made it to the top. But boy was i sore after. Then i showered and headed to work until 2am, where i enjoyed some delicious brownies my supervisor brought in. Long and eventful day i'd say. Wednesday was long as well, but not bad. I went to class and finally presented our group presentation for History of Journalism (which we got 100 on). So happy when that was over. After that i had some food and went to my next class (ours) and we did some midterm review. After that i headed to White Plains with Josh and Corey. Josh had come down to visit Sarah before and after class, so while we waited for her to get out of class we just took a drive. Wound up buying some awesome stuff on sale at Pac Sun. So that was a good evening. That was followed by homework, i am quite sure.

Thursday was yet another productive day. Aside from the morning, which included an Adolescent Psych test (which i did terribly on, shocker), i had a good day. I took that awful test, and then got some food. I walked outside for a bit because it was absolutely beautiful out, yet again. This weather, it was great. Too bad it tricked us. Anyway, i did my housing that day too. It worked out perfectly, thankfully. After the apartment situation i needed that. I got a double in Fort Awesome with Sarah on the 4th floor (thankful for the elevators), right across the hall from Corey and Vinny. Haha. It is going to be quite an interesting and great sophomore year. I'm hoping at least. Once that was done i went to the gym instead of staying in class. Corey had to stay to do a lab, but i did that last week, so i went to the gym for an hour. When i got back i showered, relaxed, and then did some homework before going to work. Once it hit 10 i went to work and had a blasty blast as per usual.

Friday was quite a fun day. Actually, it was a great and exciting day for the most part. I woke up early. Corey went to class. I had room inspection, and somehow passed. Right after Corey got out of class we took the shuttle to Metro North. Since we had an extra round trip ticket to the city from St. Patty's Day, we decided to go down and see the Museum of Sex. I had wanted to go for over a year now, so i figured might as well. We got on the shuttle and then to Metro North, and then pretty much right onto the train. A nice ride there, we arrived and ran into Alex. Good for me, because i missed him. Awkward for him and Corey. Yeah...anyways. We managed to find our way to the Museum, taking only one subway and not really getting lost. Plus, not much walking, although it was REALLY nice out. Actually, it was pretty hot. I was almost sweating in the museum. So we got there, and walked through the sex store first. Definitely not what i pictured, but i guess i really had no expectations. We entered the museum at a student discounted price of not even $16. And spent the next 2+ hours walking through rooms and rooms of sexual vices. There for 4 different sections. The first was the history of porn, which basically had a whole bunch of porns videos playing. But i did learn a lot. Then we went to a section about animals and how different animals have sex. Funny, but not really too interesting. Then there was an art section. That was short, but really cool. Tons of abstract and colorful artwork on the sexual side. Really amazing and talented stuff. The last room is hard to explain. It had like, futuristic sex stuff i guess..? Like it mentioned political scandals, phone convos, top 100 internet sex searches, bondage suits, and such stuff. It was really cool. Once that was done we went to the shop and i spent way too much money on silly things. A $16 pair of underwear..yeah i know. A shot glass..funny condoms. Ya know. The typical. But worth it.

After we left the museum we were hungry, and it was still light out. We were gonna go to the Bodies Exhibit, but we didn't have enough money or time. So we were going to get food, but we didn't have much money for that either. So we decided on fast food. And since Corey had never had White Castle, i knew i had to introduce him to the amazingness of the unhealthy perfect food. So after much walking, getting somewhat lost, and a subway ride later, we managed to get to the one near Times Square. The one i went to during my internship one day. Creepy ass people, great food. The price you pay. so we ate, and since it was nice and again, too broke to take the shuttle over, we walked from the west to east side. I didn't want to, but i knew it was healthier and cheaper, and it wound up being a really nice walk. Aside from annoying tourists throughout Times Square. Although i hate to admit i want to go back and go to Ripley's really bad, and i am going to. So we got to Grand Central, got some gelato, and got on the bus around 830. We got back in time to watch everyone go out, and after a long and tiring day, we just chilled, i think. I don't remember much of the rest of the weekend, exciting wise at least. Both Saturday and Sunday i think i felt like shit. I don't think i really left my bed, none the less left the dorm. I slept a lot. And chilled underneath the blanket fort that my suitemates made in the common room. That was pretty cool. So the rest of the weekend was pretty much a boring, junk food eating, bumming it, watching movies, laying down weekend. I needed that. Plus, i didn't really have much choice. See next blog for the next week! :)
