After the shenanigans i discussed in my last post, it took a while to recover. Not physically, but mentally. Everything turned out okay. Things are fine now. But Corey and i had to have quite a long talk after that, as well as everyone else who was involved. Glad things are better now. We spent the rest of the weekend doing nothing. We cuddled and watch movies all night and day. We got things back to where they needed to be. No fighting. Being goofy and normal. I also did a shit ton of homework and watched the walking dead of course. The following week was not too eventful until the weekend. It was beautiful out for the most part. Great weather which, aside from a few instances, caused me to be super happy and cheerful. I had a lot of work to do that week. School work, library work, etc. That Tuesday was very eventful. I took part in a Psychology research study and got paid $20. Then i studied for a while. And then Corey and i went to the movies and saw Silent House. The ending annoyed the shit out of me, but it actually was a really good movie. After that i immediately went to work. Yes, a long day.
That Wednesday was my History of Journalism midterm. Which i thought i did terribly in but would up getting an A-. Yay. That Thursday i also had a productive day. Class, went to rejuventation station at Southside, got an awesome foot and back massage, studied, went to the gym, and then went to work all night. Then on Friday, my day off, i didn't really have a day off. I got up super early for a counseling appointment, and then worked for five hours at the library, in which i had some weird ass customers. Gotta love senile elderly women. After all that i remember feeling like shit, and not wanting to do anything but sleep. However, after much convincing from friends i decided to go to the Stood for the first time all semester. I went to the Sextacy event with Corey for a bit. Didn't really drink because we had to get up early the next day. I wish i had though, because i had a huge accident. In heels and lingerie i fell harder than i ever have. I ran, tripped over a skate rail, flew through the air, and landed on hard cement. Like in a movie. Yeah. Tried to walk it off and not cry. I was sober, so it hurt like a bitch, but i didn't want to overreact. Well i now have a bone chip in my elbow and still have bruises on my legs. Guess i underestimated the damage i did. Haha. So that was the end of that night.
Saturday was St. Patty's Day. I had never celebrated it before, so i figured now was the time. We all went into the city for the parade and let me tell you, it was crazier than i could've imagine. Me, Tierney, Corey, and Angelina woke up early and got on the train to Grand Central around 1030am. At this point we already started drinking, naturally, and the train was packeddd with super obnoxious high school kids. It sucked. We got there and everyyyone was in green. It was this day that i wished for once that i was Irish. But we waited for some of Angelina's friends, and then started walking. We walked, and walked, and walked, and occasionally stopped, and got more friends, and walked more, until finally two hours and my drink being gone and me still being sober later, we got to 59th and 5th in front of the Apple store and watched the parade. It was ridiculous. SO many people. I had never seen so many people in Manhattan, and it's Manhattan. Nuts. So we got right up, front row, and watched the awesome parade for about an hour. Funniest part was we saw people walking in it that Corey and i went the couple weeks before at Mount Saint Mary. They were some friends from the house party with Travis. Such a small world.
We left around 4 and started walking again. At this point it was me, Corey, Tierney, Angelina, Lisa, Tatiana, and a few other people. They wanted to go downtown to St. Mark's, and i was down, so we went. I hadn't been down there since i met with the original Purchase group almost a year earlier. Haha. So we went, had some AMAZING and cheap pizza, and then went to this sketchy ass tattoo and piercing place. Corey and i both bought some new plugs, i got my ear pierced (for $7..yeah), Tierney and Tatianna got their belly buttons pierced, and Lisa got a tattoo. Craziness. Hey, it was St. Patty's day..might as well. Afterwards we walked some more, and attempted to get Saki at this stupid sushi place. But they carded. So we left and Tierney and Angelina decided to go back to school. The rest of us went to this Thai food place though, and didn't get carded. Saki bombing like champs..yum yum. Unfortunately still sober though. We then left there, and it was almost dark. I was supposed to meet Melissa, but she lost her wallet and phone so that didn't happen. And then i was going to meet Sam and Nicola, but i couldn't get to where they were, so Corey and i went on our way and decided to head back. We, well i, navigated us back to Grand Central. I'm really liking being able to walk around the city by myself and learn my ways. Granted, my iPhone saves my life, but still. I love it. And i think i'm getting Corey to semi a little kinda sorta like it too. Haha. So we left around 830 on the train, and had a packed obnoxious train again. Had to stand the whole time. Neither of our rides did we get ticketed, so we both had free round trip tickets until March 30th. Yeahhh buddy. But we got back to White Plains around 930.
At this point neither of us were tired, nor did we really wanna party back at school. So we went to movies and dinner. We saw 21 Jump Street. Fucking hilariousss. I seriously recommend it to everyone. It had to have been one of the funniest movies i have seen in months if not years. I didn't stop laughing. Then we got food at Applebees. I had MoreDollars on my card, so we spent $30 on food and enjoyed ourselves. We jammed to some Taylor Swift, ate some good food, and then took some to go. Around 1am we were about to leave, but we missed the bus, and it was cold. Kerry happened to be down the street at the bars, and had been drinking. So we went there and around 130, 2ish she came out and i drove us home. Personally, i was scared. I don't like driving other peoples' cars, especially in unfamiliar places. Plus she had a ton of stuff in the back seat, and her car was bigger than mine. But she trusted me enough without question, so i was really careful and we got home safe. Once we got back i think we pretty much passed out. That, or stayed up and waited for others to get back. Actually, i think Tierney didn't get back from the party until around 4 or 5am, and we were passed out by then. Haha. The next day i was super tired, but i got up and got some homework done. Then a bunch of us watched the Walking Dead season finale in the common room, which was amazinggg. Can't wait til next season. Then i studied and went to bed. I will continue the following week in a new post.
